I prefer to be just a Christian without a label. Sadly the "born again" seem to look down on those who have known all the time. I feel, I hope wrongly that they make a lot of noise to cover the doubts which we all feel from time to time as we reach for our Saviour Jesus Christ

Yes there's a very real difference and the difference is in the heart.
There's head knowledge of believing there is a God but not knowing Him personally - this is Christian...
Then there is the heart knowledge - when a person accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour - and the Spirit of God comes to live in you - and you just know without any doubt that you're heart has changed - you sense you've been cleansed inside and you just feel different - that's when you're "Born Again" --- it's a powerful feeling in some more than others - but it's really believing in Jesus as Saviour and Lord.
There are a lot of people and different denominations come under the 'BANNER' of Christianity - but not all are 'born again'
You will find in John Chapter 3: where Jesus speaks about it if you're interested...
Great question : x )

Many people will call themselves Christians. They may read their bibles and even attend church but never really come to know Christ, just know about Him. A Christian who has done just as Jesus asked and truly repented and asked Him to come into their heart comes into a living relationship with Him. Repentance is not just about being sorry but about being obedient and chosing not to sin for Christ's sake. A person who has truly repented will find Christ living in them by His Spirit and helping them to live the new life they have chosen through Him. Jesus calls it being born again through His Spirit. The one thing that is common with all born again believers is that they long for others to come to know Him too and will reach out at every opportunity to tell others about Him. I have known Him for 22 years and He is as real as you or I but until you're born again, you can't truly know that. Being born again is a very definite event and turns a persons whole life around for Christ. God bless :)

A Christian is someone who believes that Christ came to the world to save us from our sins. When someone says they are born-again it means they have entered into an agreement with Him to abide by His rules of conduct. To be Born-Again, a person, whether he is Christian or not, must make a conscious decision to give his whole heart (and soul, if you will) to the Lord and ACCEPT the forgiveness and grace granted to us by Jesus. Being baptized by water is the symbol of being born-again, clean as a new-born babe.

The self-proclaimed "born again" are a pride-filled lot, puffing themselves up like clanging cymbals. They make a big deal about how they are the only people actually 'saved" while everyone else is (rightfully) damned, and they take no end of glee in so doing and no end of joy in smugly congratulating themselves on their self-appointed status.
They're a great deal like the most obnoxious of atheist posters on Yahoo Answers.

No. A Christian is one who is born again through water and the spirit in the sacrament of baptism, just as Christ Himself described.

True faith is accepting the marriage contract with YHVH, which is the first five books of Scripture. This allows His heart to be in us, and it empowers us to obey Him, and do things like worship on the right day, and honor the right special days, and eat the right foods. The Disciples were called Christians, but they never accepted that title. Christians are the bad guys, dishonoring YHVH, and doing violence to His rules.
