Let E represent number of elephants.
Let P represent number of parrots.
Therefore: E + P = 30 (heads) each has one.
And: 4E + 2P = 94 (legs) they both differ.
Now we have 2 simultaneous equations with 2 unknowns.
Multiply equation #1 by 2:
2E + 2P = 60
Subtract from equation #1:
2E = 34, E = 17 (the number of elephants)
Substitute in equation #1:
17 + P = 30, P = 30 - 17, P = 13 (number of parrots)
Proof by substituting in equation #2:
4(17) + 2(13)
68 + 26 = 94
Left = right side

While you are sitting there playing video games waiting for someone else to do your homework for you, you could be doing it yourself.
Even if someone gives you the answer, you still won't know how to work the question out... So, yes, it will be cheating. Go ask your teacher to help you out.
