I've been kind of a pantheist for several years now. I've been building altars at rivers and the bottom of trees, and making "offerings" to the earth, but I have followed a specific path nor do I know anyone else who worships like I do. Well, recently, when I meditate, I've been getting glimpses of "beings" in the trees, in the water. So I began to think that there may be actual gods and goddesses out there, and they were trying to get my attention. For the last week, I've been asking them for clarification and to reveal themselves to me, and the only thing that's changed about my meditation is I hear the sound of rushing water and a heavy feeling on my chest, and all I see clearly are beautiful exotic eyes.

Does this sound familiar to anyone? And if not, any tips on how to get clearer messages from the gods and goddesses through meditation?

Or if I just sound like I'm going insane, tell me that too, lol.

I believe that what you're talking about are spirits of place.

It's not insane to notice them, just unusual.

Greetings!

Probably better to just Watch, and Listen for a while, than to try to communicate-

The messages are more in the Form of Feelings, Dreams, Insights, than having a Dryad sit next to you and ask about "things".

Be careful, of course-but the best action is to feed the Birds in those areas, pick up trash, don`t leave stuff that is not natural to that Place, just be there.

Insane people don`t usually ask that question, they just figure everybody else is nuts!

Well we're all seekers, really. I don't think any of us can claim that we have truly and completely developed our own spirituality. Go with what you think. I learned very quickly that I can't always stick with what I always believed in. Beliefs change and evolve.

It sounds a lot like a heart attack. Last time I had that chest pain, I drove myself to the hospital. Good luck with yours.
