I don't understand why religious people talk about the bible and God and jesus and all of the rest like it is a fact. Like you people know these things are true. I don't follow religion, but I don't know, so I admit I don't know what is right about religion or God or whatever. I don't see why religious people act like all of that is the truth.

If you believe in god, fine, just say you believe. Instead, I always her people say "well God told me this, and God says this is going to happen". Thats silly. No one knows the answer.

Because it is true. People have tried to deny the Bible for centuries and any good look at the history, science and archaeology has shown it to be true.

Even Professor Antony Flew the former atheist (30+ years of speaking as an atheist) that had debated men such as C.S. Lewis recently said that the latest biological research "has shown, by the almost unbelievable complexity of the arrangements which are needed to produce (life), that intelligence must have been involved." Now he isn't a Christian but even this die hard atheist has had to face the fact that there is enough evidence that there is atleast a God somewhere.

Prof. C.S. Lewis, Prof. Alister McGrath, Lee Strobel etc. all were atheists and looked at the evidence and became Christians. C.S. Lewis wrote a book called Mere Christianity you may want to read or Lee Stroebel's "Case for Faith" or "Case for Jesus".

May you search for and FIND what is true.

Throwing the baby out with the bath water never helps. You just have to look for the truth and throw the rest out. When one develops their relationship with God then more is revealed, and ones Faith gets stronger. But there are so many misinterpretations of different scriptures so it takes a very sincere and introspective and God loving person to get to the nity gritty of the Truth. It is a process that takes the soul lifetimes.

People have this kind of sense (that apparently I no longer have) to beleive in something that is non-understandable, non-comprehensive, and illogical. They think that something else should control their lives because they can't and that in the end everything will be alright. I on the other hand control my own life and almost, "almost" don't give a $|-|17 what people think of me, because I've been doing that all my life except recently and guess what? I feel WAY better.

I think a lot of people just like to say that they believe and adhere to certain religious doctrines so they can partake in the fellowship/friendship aspect that religion gives people. Religions give people a sense of belonging and oneness that might be difficult to obtain in other ways. If anyone does genuinely believe in a certain religious doctrine it's probably because they have been brainwashed by their elders into believing or they are simply that desperate that they must cling to delusions for comfort in everyday life.

i really think that maybe sometimes something happens in your life which makes you understand and feel that God is real and i dunno maybe its crazy talk to u but thats how i feel
for my whole life i've only taken my cross off 2 times and i believe in God alot i feel that he is real in my heart, but i dont pray and go to church every weekend and you know sometimes i think the fact that some people are afraid of death could be true i mean i asked some of my friends why do they go to church and pray they said so they get into heaven i dont cause i dont do it to get into heaven i dont believe everything the bible says but i believe in God and that he created people to do good , help eacother [ as childish as that might sound ] but i live by that and by the "dont kill , dont steal dont lie" etc. God is a hope of something good to bad alot of people are using it in their own bad way. i've been thro alot thro my life even tho im young and i believe God helped me make it , hey its a free world and sadly no one knows the truth [ might be for the best though] but untill then i guess we just have to follow what we believe in =]

People ve many goals in life and many hurdles r there in reaching to the goal. So people look for solutions in religious lectures and try to follow so that they get what they desire. In this pursuit of desire fulfilment they listen to all lectures and correct themselves so that their desire is fulfilled. Sometimes life experience teaches u the truth and sometimes u get a solution from these tips also. Life is such and it varies with different people.

The non-Biblical evidence, of course.

1. Historical (written) evidence : Egypt, Babylon, The Roman empire, etc
2. Archaeological evidence
3. Fulfilled Prophecies - see Isaac Newton
4. The current existence of the Jews.

Just to name a few. These are the evidence which support my faith. No, my faith is NOT blind faith.

Unless you have experienced the "knowing" of things pertaining to God...no one can expect you to understand it. It is very reasonable for one who doesn't "know" to simply say that something is a belief...and that is ok.
