What would you like to do on that (special) day?
Special is not explicit but in Spanish is understood.
For example.
- If my birthday were next week ...
= By the way, What would you like to do that (specific) day?
- si mi cumpleaños fuera la próxima semana....
=A propósito que te gustarÃa hacer (en) ese dÃa?
You can crossout "en" and the sentence is the same.
You may hear this expression in Mexico and Central America

Actually the correct translation is "What do you like to do on that day?" If you were to ask "what would you like to do today?" It would be "Que te gustaria hacer hoy?" or "Que te gustaria hacer este dia?"

OK you guys are close....but to be honest theirs a difference between "ese" and "este", OK "ese" means "that" and "este" means "this"so basically what you're asking is "what do you like to do on that day?"

The other responses, while not inaccurate, failed to consider the use of the word "ese" which does not mean "on" but in the phrase means "that."
