Hey, I am a 13 year old boy and my bro is 5. I like him a lot and think he is cute. We live in an apartment and share a room. We sit on the floor and play playstation like all day on the weekends lol and I let him sit on my lap. I like it because he's cute and he sometimes wraps his arms around my neck. Is this OK for us to do this, i am not gay or anything and I have a girlfriend but I just think my bro is cute :P

He also looks up to me and trusts me. If he wets the bed or has an accident or something i am the first one to know and he doesn't want our parents knowing. Is this normal that he asks for my help? I always help him out when something like that happends.

Thanks

Yes, he's your brother, it is okay to show him APPROPRIATE affection, and what you are describing seems to fall into that category.

Its good that your brother trusts you, so make sure that you continue to value that trust, and don't ever do ANYTHING to jeoporadize that.

Of course it's ok to give affection to your brother as long as it goes no further than the hugging and hanging out.
My question is.. why would you ask? Has someone said something to you about it? Would you feel weird showing this affection in front of other people and why?
It sounds like you and your brother are close and that's great. It's also good that you are a boy and know how to show affection. Ask your parents what they think. They know you and should be the best judge of character.

Chuck E. Cheese may be a lucrative place, but it would be more of a "take a baby girl and leave your son behind with a note" instead of an actual trade. Your son will be fine as long as you give him a lot of tokens to show how much you love him. Just remember that you can't trade back when your 15 year old daughter comes home pregnant, or becomes a stripper. You are on your own.

Of course he looks up to you. You are a great big brother! Showing him affection is not just OK, it's vital. If you are questioning his sitting on your lap, let him sit next to you with your arm around him. It's important for BOTH of you to be comfortable.

Since he looks up to you, when he mentions he doesn't want your parents to know something make sure you let him know how much you trust your parents. If he knows you trust them, he will give them a chance too.

Good job!

Oh My God,
that is so sweet.
I think it is great that he and you feel so comfortable
with each other and that he feels he can trust you the way he
does. There is nothing wrong with him sitting on your lap. You sound like a great brother and I just hope you both
continue to have this great relationship as you get older.

Of course it's okay for you to cuddle with your brother. He must love you very much to treat you as he does. You're his idol & he looks up to you & that says a lot about you. He trusts you so don't break that trust or the relationship could end up in a shambles. Two of my granddaughters are like your brother & you. The older one (12) is always cuddling with her younger sister(7), looks after her, & doesn't tell on her when she's misbehaved unless it's really serious in nature. Enjoy your relationship with your brother. I think it's great for both of you. :)

that's fine! there is nothing wrong with cuddling and permitting your 5 year old brother to sit on your lap. if it were something sexual it would be very bad, but what you're doing is just cute! i've always wanted a brother, big or little.

Wow, what a great big brother!
It is perfectly fine to let younger siblings sit on your lap, as long as you both have clothes on.
'Helping him out' is OK, as long as it isn't covering something like a sign of illness, or evidence of something destructive.
Don't promise to keep all his secrets, let him know you would protect him by letting your parents know if need be.
Remember to set a good example for him : home, school, church, friends, etc.

That's ok. My sister is about your age and still sits on my lap and hugs me constantly. It's good to have a strong bond with your brother or sister. That's how it supposed to be.

This is definatly okay. As long as you don't do anything INNAPROPRIATE like play "doctor" that's fine.

I have a little cousin that often sleeps over that is very close to me and we do all the things you and your brother do and it is totally fine. She too looks up to me.

That's great that you are a rolemodel and have a great little brother. I hope you too have a nice healthy brotherhood!
