I moved to America when I was 2, I am 16 now.. And I wanna go back to Britain because I dont wanna be here anymore. I never wanted to move anyway. We moved over here because my dad got in trouble with social services, and we basically ran away from them. None of my family knows why we came here. My dad is abusive now, and so is my mom. She said we cant go back atleast until im 18, because I havent finished high school here, so the school wouldnt let me stay.

She wont let me move in with my real dad. Should I tell my grandprents and dad what happend? And would moving effect my schooling in england? What should I do?!

If you are legally in the US, have your counselor write a report of abuse and call social services. Because you are not yet 18, and so are a minor, your parents still have rights concerning where you live, and where you go. If you father wants to take you in, there shouldn't be any problems once social services is in the game. However, they will need to come into the home and evaluate the situation and talk to your custodial parents and your dad. Does your mom and stepdad have sole custody of you?

As far as schooling in the UK is concerned, at 16, the students are taking their A levels now. The British schools would have to evaluate your education, but if you do get to move, and you are legally allowed to be there, then they have the responsibility to provide an education.

If your parents are abusive - and I mean abusive (not getting your way and having to follow rules does not make them abusive) then why havent you told your grandparents and your father?

If that is the case, then social services will move in and you will removed. If you have parents/grandparents willing and able to take you, then they will.

PS - making you move countries when you're 12 is not unusual, and no big deal. At 12 you do as you are told.

At 16 you are old enough to file an application for a Visa and live in the Uk unaided. You must tell the Embassy of your concerns and they will listen to you and I see no reason why you should not be allowed into the Country of your birth.Look at the British Embassy online fill in the form and make an appointment to see them.Dont sit down and be afraid do it right now.By the way it will not affect your schooling in England at all and you would be allowed a high degree of learning for years to come.Dont let me down do it now you are welcome love god bless.

I don't know what kind of abuse you are experiencing. However I recommend you speak to your grandparents first about the abuse.and your dad.
Always be vocal about any abuse.
Good luck to you
