Some people are under the false impression that flu vaccinations actually give you the flu. In reality, the flu vaccine is a dead virus, so while it may give you very mild flu-like symptoms, you do not actually get the flu. People with lots of health problems should get the vaccine, as well as kids and people who work in the healthcare field. Other than that, it doesn't really matter if you get one or not.

over a decade ago, the flu vaccine was made with live attenuated virus, and some people did indeed get the flu from the shot...mostly those with suppressed immune systems. But over the last 10 years or so, the vaccine is made from the protien coat of dead viruses, there is nothing then in the vaccine that will cause any kind of illness, no symptoms can be attached to the vaccine other than those of allergy to eggs. If you get flu like symptoms after the shot, it is coincidence and those symptoms would have shown up regardless of whether or not the shot was given...probably more severely without the shot, because of the lack of stimulation to the immune system that the shot endows.
Then of course there are those few out there that are convinced that every vaccine produced is just another conspiracy by the government to use the populace as guinea pigs for it's nefarious research, probably not realizing that a large quantity of the vaccine is not even made in this country.
So, take your pick as to why people will not get the vaccines, those who are intelligent and want to minimize the spread and effects of flu viruses get the shot.

Some people just don't like shots and some believe they may have major side effects. If any side effects, most of the time they are mild. Side effects include fever, aches, chills, pain at the injection siite; like a mild case of the flu. The vaccine does not cause the flu because it contains the dead virus.
I took the shot for 14 years with just pain at the site. Funny still, I have not had a cold in that same time! I have also avoided crowds during the season. Visit the site below for more detailted information.

well, the effectiveness of the vaccine is limited because the different strains of the influenza viruses. The vaccine is prepared from the dead viruses of many stereotypes but as the virus has the ability to produce new strains there will be no vaccine that protect you from flu. The WHO is working every year on collecting data from the whole world about the new strains and preparing new vaccine that contains all the strains that newly discovered. The point is weather this tremendous work for the preparation of the vaccine every year worth it or not.

The virus's DNA mutates so often that they're really worthless.
If you get one now, they'll be a new strand of flu before you need another vaccination. Waste of money.
