Tuberculosis (TB) is an infectious disease caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. TB can affect the lungs and other parts of the body. In some people, it can lead to serious complications and even death, especially if the body is weakened by other health problems. TB is caught by breathing in droplets containing the bacteria, for example, when an infected person coughs or sneezes. In many people who become infected with TB, the immune system (the body's defence mechanism) successfully fights off the infection. People whose immune systems have fought the infection will then be immune to TB. Sometimes latent tuberculosis becomes active years later. This is known as post-primary TB and is more likely if the immune system is weakened by other problems such as HIV, poorly controlled diabetes, or if the person is underweight. A minority of people cannot fight the infection and the TB remains active after infection. In this case, TB causes early symptoms and, without treatment, the disease can progress to cause serious complications, infection of other organs such as the bones and brain, and even death. People with either active or latent TB are treated with a combination of antibiotic tablets to kill the bacteria. Treating latent TB prevents the infection becoming active. There is more to this and I add a link for your interest.

Last time I checked it was very easy to transmit to lots of people. TB is transmitted through droplets after an infected person begins coughing & slinging all the microbes around them-so people in close proximity would be vectors! I would check the CBC guidelines, we usually quarantine people that have active TB in the hospital and treat the disease for 6 months with INH.

TB is a highly infective bacteria, transmitted by airborne droplets ie, coughing, spitting.

Generally not very. Inhalation. Hard to get unless you are in close proximity for an extended period.
New drug resistant TD is scary. Staph is scarier.

VERY.
It's an air-born disease which makes it harder to control then other diseases.
You can't exactly refrain from breathing, can you?
