I don't think you have anything to worry about. The chances of hearing something that doesn't exist sneeze is pretty much impossible. There are many explainations for the term, but it was originally used as just "bless you", meaning wishing of good health. Who knows what religious nut added in the "god" part.

There is only one omnipresence able to bless and that is God Almighty. The scriptures say that all good things come from above, meaning if there is a blessing it would ultimately have come from God since by His will all things exist.
So...it would be putting another god before Him.....a totally inert one. I would be carefull since Jehovah God is a god exacting exclusive devotion.

How or why did asserting "God bless you" grow to be linked as an expression one says to a distinct after the different sneezes? i have found some motives listed below, yet, indirectly, i don't think of any of them are very valid: at the same time as someone sneezes his heart stops and asserting "God bless you" skill "i'm happy your heart all started back." asserting "God bless you" once you sneeze keeps the devil from flying down your throat. at the same time as someone sneezes, say "God bless you and would the devil pass over you." once you sneeze your soul tries to flee and asserting "God bless you" crams it back in.

It goes back to the Great Plague. One of the early symptoms was a sneeze. I do not think any or many survived and consequently it was a prayer for the soon to die

Great question. But you will never know. God made some things for us not to know and that may be one of them. I would say bless you though.

I would say: God, bless you! Since He is God, He would know that it would not be putting Himself before Himself.

I commend you for asking that question...it seems you are searching for answers. Ask Him. Pray about it.

BTW, Lucifer used to be His favorite and you can ask Him if you could become one of His favorites. You know what you need to do.

Just "Bless you", I think... hmm, can a person bless God? I'd stick with "gesundheit" just to save myself the possible social embarassment :)

Hmmm..I dunno but I would think that with God being almighty and all that He wouldn't sneeze ever because he wouldn't get sick or an itchy nose (if he has one) and no self-respecting fly would ever dare land on his nose (again, if he has one) because it would be struck down by lightning and its family would be cursed for 7 generations. But it's a funny thought though...:)

Sneezing implys bacteria or germs in your air passage. In order for God to sneeze he would have to contain germs. God is not human so it impossible for him to sneeze.
