I need to ask you all how to do everything in wicca living a "stone age" life in the woods(living in a tee pee, yurt, wooden shack, etc, building fires, growing/hunting food, etc.). Yes I do want to live like that one day. And there is absolutely no money involved with it. As I said, its a primitive life.
I do understand the challenges of primitive living but I am up for it because I despise the realm of society.

I'm asking this because my girlfriend is a wiccan and she wants to do the same thing that I'm gonna do.
Btw I also want to be wiccan (someday), so if you have any links to sites that teach it then put them up.

1. primative living has nothing to do with wicca

2. you need money to buy the land, yurt, farming equipment ect. It isn't as simple as that. Further, farming is hard enough with modern technology, i think you will find your life will be more complicated and less comfortable.

Well first things first. Primative living has nothing to do with being Wiccan. You do not have to live like a mountain man or neanderthal in order to be a wicca. Secondly why do you say "I also want to be wiccan (someday)" whats wrong with today? grab a book and learn about it. Its actually a pretty simple religion to grasp. And if your girlfriend really is wiccan like you say she is then she could probably help you find some good books on it. Assuming she is not as disillusioned with what wicca really is as you are.

There is nothing inherent in Wicca that requires modern equipment in order to practice the religion, at least that I can think of. Even the various tools we use (athame, chalice, besom, incense, and so forth) are really just aids to concentration.

As for resources... here is a relatively objective (non-Wiccan) set of articles on what Wiccans do and believe:

Another useful article:

A good site by Wiccans:

http://wicca.timerift.net

And the US Army Chaplains Handbook excerpt on Wicca:

If you're looking to do some reading, I'd recommend "Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner" by Scott Cunningham, and "The Triumph of the Moon" by Ronald Hutton. I advise you to stay away from anything by Silver Ravenwolf, for reasons outlined in the following essay:

http://wicca.timerift.net/ravenwolf.shtml

You might also want to try the beginning Wicca course on this site:

I'm going through it myself to see if it's any good, and so far the first lesson has been quite acceptable in terms of information and quality.

Wicca isn't about where you live... it's about respect and love for nature and your fellow humans. If you can't start from where you live now, then you won't do it primitively. Wicca is a religion that is sought out by it's students. The followers don't go door to door advertising either. If you are really interested in it, you will find the truth yourself. Blessings.

Wow... I live in a home that is above the average cost of homes in our area, my wife and I make well over the average income for our state and we're Wiccan. Did I miss the memo that I'm supposed to be living like Grizzly Adams? LOL

Well nothing in Wicca really requires any sort of technology to begin with... Unless you have a giant neon pentacle on your altar? lol

I'd be more worried about living in the elements with no electricity.
