Steve Hmiel director of competition hasdecided to part ways.
Any news on the reason? Did he decide to on his own or is Teresa behind it?

Yes he was Mark Martin's crew chief for some time? Pretty impressive background.

lets face it...DEI is like what used to be the Roman Empire-once it was one of the top dogs, now its crumbling before our very eyes. Steve is not stupid...he can see whats happening around there!

Steve Hmiel is a sharp guy. I imagine he wants to go in a different direction then the one DEI is going in.
Wasn't he Mark Martins crew chief for many years?

Interesting question and good insight. I really don't like Teresa and I am glad Junior left. Hendrick will be even more formidable than they are now.

Sound like they are doing some housecleaning over there, if anyone was real close to Dale Jr, they are letting go....The person that needs to go is Teresa...Heck maybe he just did not like the direction DEI is heading...Bail before the ship sinks I say...

nothing official on that yet, but under the circumstances with the merger and all, quite a few are being let go, or are changing direction, can ya blame the guy?
