i've met someone and we have stayed in touch over the year?

despite the fact that I work overseas just now and he lives in my home town (we met in the country i now work in through a mutual friend) and have stayed in touch and met up once when I was home. We get on really well and there mad chemistry - , I would like to get together whenI return home for good, how should I play it over the next couple of months until that time?
we are both quite free spirited so neither of us thinks the other is up for a relationship. I dont want to scare him away, how should I phrase text messages I send him?

Carefully! lol . Distance relationships rarely work out. So see how things go when you actually meet.The body language we naturally pick up -sub-consciously often is so important. You can't read body - language online.

Just throw him hints or just tell him the truth you never know either he'll feel the same, or you might get back and he's with someone and you lose your chance or you tell him now so if he do reject you at least you already know how he feel before you get back or it'll give him something to think about before you get home.
