my mom is having a sonogram done today because her Dr.found something abnormal in her mammogram test.

I hope that your mom's sonogram showed only a cyst or nothing serious. Cancer is a pretty scarry topic, but it isn't necessarily a death sentence. There are lots of us who have fought the battle and won.

However, if the news isn't good and you want someone to talk to, you can contact me. I'm a 3 year survivor and also have a sister, aunt, sister-in-law and best friend who are all survivors.

Not always. About half to three quarters of the time it turns out to be somehting noncancerous such as a cyst or fibroadonoma. You can get more info here; www.webmd.com. or here; www.y-me.org. www.cancer.org
