If you feel this guy or guys are making a move on you, tell them that you're going to have coffee at so and so time, and make that a time when your husband will be with you. Then when they come up, introduce them! They will either act natural, because they had no 'intentions' or they will stumble all over themselves. That way, the 'proof' will not fall on your shoulders of 'who is taking the coffee offer too seriously'.
What do you think???????? Good luck.

The best way to say no thank you is to say "no, thank you." Let it go at that.

If he persists, tell him the truth. 1. you don't like coffee and 2. you don't think it would be fair to your husband if you had dates with other men.

Or, you could just start slipping Harold's name into your conversation with these guys. Oh yes. Harold and I love to eat at that little shop. I"m not a coffee drinker but Harold is... Gee. I'm sorry. I'm meeting Harold in about 15 minutes....

Say you can't drink coffee that day 'cause you already burned your tongue. Then apologize for giving such a crummy excuse by saying, "i would of put more time into thinking up a better way to get out of coffee with you. But i seriously burned my tongue, and it hurts to even speak."

Just say, "That sounds great!... my husband and I are there quite often so just name a time and I'll see if I'm free!" That way they will know you're married and if they still insist on buying you coffee just tell them you're busy.

Tell him to chug a bottle of JD, and then maybe you'll do an espresso body shot with him.

Chances are he'll pass out before he can ever reach for your bra strap. He'll also forget who you are completely.

If you tell them you are married, they will be cool. They don't have a lot of extra cash to waste on Starbucks if they know it isn't going anywhere.

"no thanks. I'm married and I don't like going out alone with men. It just gives people the wrong idea."

Be upfront.

Or, say yes.....then bring your husband along. When you get there say, "ohh this is my husband. He wasn't busy today and decided to come along."

just having coffe with a guy is not a big deal unless he wants or thinks there is something more.. but i usually say things like "can i bring my husband, he would like to meet you" or " i have a date with my husband tonight so i need to get ready"... drop the "husband" a few more times,, it works..
