You can train forearms everyday, same with calves and abdominals. But, if you are already weight training then your forearms get worked every time you grip a bar. So there really is no need to add a specific exercise for the forearms. Also if you are training in Jujitsu or Judo, you will clinch enough in practice to build your forearm strength.
Just to clear up a confused myth: You should allow 24 hours rest after working any major muscle group. But, you can work biceps, legs, and back on Monday, then chest, shoulders, triceps, on Tuesday. This is called the 4 day split routine and maximizes lean muscle growth.
Also, if you look at a farmer. He works the same muscle every single day without injury. The part about resting for 24 hours is only if you are trying to increase lean muscle mass.

The post that said Bruce got a red belt in tae kwon do is just stupid. Bruce felt that alot of the arts were too structured and rigid. Like if someone grabs you arm, you do this, and then this, this etc. Too many steps taking to long. Why waste so much time and effort when you can do one thing. Maximum results minimum energy. During Bruce Lees era people looked at martial arts for competition or for some kind of magic. Bruce was just trying to make the most effective and efficient martial art for true combat. Bruce thought that the moves in traditional karate were to rehearsed and I agree why have a move to get away from a grab another to get out of this and another to get out of this.etc, etc. When you can have economy in motion. A simple kick to the inseam will cause an attacker to let go for several attacks.

Get two cans of soup and hold them in each hand, with your palms and cans down, move your hands up and down, like a child imitating riding a motorcycle! Works wonders!

Master Lee ...SAID...many things. he practiced HIS style every day of his life.
are you doing martial arts.........or just want to pump iron?
there is a WIDE margin difference.
"the arts" is a way-of-life...not something you just do for kicks.......
pumping iron is for any empty headed jock.!
