I had a weird dream last night. The part that I remember is about a good friend and I. She was telling me to look into this hand mirror over my left shoulder so I could see what these creatures looked like. (Kinda like a Lady in the Water thing) She was really excited for me to see these things but I was reluctant. She was telling me that I was the only woman to do this reading so I had to look. Before I could look though, my husband started making noises when coming back to bed from the bathroom. I was unable to fall asleep again (4a.m.). What creature(s) do you see when looking into a mirror over the left shoulder? I googled and the only thing that came up was the devil, but that is not the impression I got. I had the feeling it was more beautiful than evil/hideous even though I was reluctant for fear it would be evil/hideous.

ieyeone? "ego----for -give Source(s): God." Honey, I asked for serious answers only. Your god has no relevance to my question. I have no one to forgive, no one has done me wrong.

Hm. They used this as a method of divination in the movie Cold Mountain. In the movie, you would hang over the edge of a well backwards, looking into a hand mirror over your left shoulder, and looking into the mirror at the reflections in the water in the well behind you. The purpose was to have a vision of the future by scrying in the reflections for images. I havn't heard of any stories of looking for specific creatures this way though.

In dream interpretation looking into a mirror or being told to is to look upon your inner self. So if you saw beauty then you are apparently leading a decent life. Most people that have the look in the mirror dreams are the people that see bad things that are kinda just a way of saying you need to change your inner person.

What I read about mirrors is that they are a symbol of your imagination and your unconscious level.

If you felt they would be beautiful, maybe you were looking at angels or your guardian angel.

Shoulders signify strength and support.

Or, because mirrors have to do with imagination, maybe you're afraid to see something that you might like to see, but are afraid what it means to you.

Does that make any sense?

This is a dream of caution; If your dream featured the left side of anything it is telling you not to be discouraged by a temporary setback. Mirror; To see yourself in a mirror is a warning of deceit among your friends. Creature; a masked friendship. Put the proper people in to place and you will know who you should be aware of. xx
