Baby dolls
Duplo or Leggo building blocks
Wooden puzzles

I'm not a mother of a toddler but I have a two year old brother and a two year old sister. I've found that they don't prefer the electronic toys. Go for the building blocks like Duplo. Stuffs animals are a joy for them. Do they watch TV? Take a toy from their favorite TV show.

My 2 year olds favorites are the Cranium Superfort, playdough, and the richard scarrys biggest book ever. Also any lift the flap books with lots of flaps. Any kind of fake food and Melissa and Doug non-traditional puzzles, like the ones with latches, or farm animals in a maze..

Haha the one who said baby dolls that was I was going to say. Of every toy and game and coloring book i have gotten my daughter the only things she has really lauched onto and loves to play with are all of her baby dolls. its sad, she has so many, and she plays with all of them. She has other toys too but she just loves pretending to be a mommy.

How about a cardboard box? They love those. The bigger the better.
