It may not be an "ulcer", but an infection. I believe that's what most doctors currently think and they prescribe an antibiotic which kills the bacteria which are causing so much acid. My father in law had this too. Please see your doctor!

I too have suffered from stomach ulcers and all sorts of gastric problems.

The first thing you must do, is to make an appointment with your Doctor. You will have to undergo several tests.
You will also be put on some medications and will more than likely have to follow a very strict diet.

Try to avoid fatty and greasy foods. Stay away from caffeine. That includes soda pop as well. No coffee or tea or chocolate. Try to avoid very acidic foods.

I found that drinking warm milk helped. I used to drink skim milk by the gallon. Further, if you are carrying a few extra pounds around your middle (I was) try loosing it by increasing your activities. Go for walks or whatever you do for exercise.

In my case, I did recover. It took a lot of sacrifice and lots of exercise. Eventually, I had less and less heartburn and discomfort.

The only over the counter medicine I used when absolutely necessary was Zantax.

I'm not a doctor, but it sounds like what I have, turns out to not be an ulcer I had, but Acid Reflux, you can now buy over the Counter Prilosec that used to be by Prescription only, I use Prescription Nexium, it's costly if you don't have insurance, don't take chances in case it is an ulcer, an ulcer is a hole in your stomach and bleeds, this is disgusting, but when you use the toilet you will have to look to see if there is blood in there or black stool, that is an indicator I believe I was told by my Doctor. Can be very serious, don't take chances with your health Mate.

Simple!

Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with mother (sediment on bottom of vinegar). Apple cider vinegar is well known for it's cure for acid reflux disease as well as ulcers. I use it myself with great results. It's cheap and more effective than any prescription. Even better, you will feel better instantly and it's a cure as well. Use a few teaspoons straight or mixed with water.

Of course, stay away from ingredients which cause ulcers such as anything on the labels that say high fructose corn syrup, msg, and other harmful chemicals which cause the condition in the first place. Anotherwards, stay away from junk foods, fast foods and processed.

I left a link for further study and a testimony as well. I wish you well.

Have you actually been diagnosed with stomach ulcers and if so did the doctor prescribe medication? If he did and there is no improvement you need to return to the doctor who diagnosed you and let him know you are still having problems.

If you have not been diagnosed with stomach ulcers by a physician and are self medicating for heartburn / acid reflux try over the counter Prilosec. Take medication as directed on label. If the symptoms have not improved in 2 weeks consult your physician.

Call your physician immediately if you notice red blood in your stool, dark tarry stools or are vomiting blood (bright red or dark coffee ground appearance).

If everythings fails or if you want to get relief in an easier and relaxed manner, then do meditation for an hour daily through the process of realization of your self under the watchful eye of a good spiritual teacher. You should not only get rid of your ulcer six to nine months, you should also not have any other gastric problem including excess gas and also be able to eat everything you want to. of course, you will feel better from the first day itself as the spiritual teacher takes most of your pain unto him when you surrender your negativities while sitting before him.

ulcers are usually caused by a bacteria called HPylori, you need to see a doctor for the proper antibiotic to treat it. This you would know if you had seen a doctor for your diagnosis, so you might not even have an ulcer, you may just be suffering from reflux disease which is much easier to treat. The bottom, line, bite the bullet and SEE A DOCTOR.

Stomach ulcers are usually caused by bacteria that are out of control. You need to be on antibiotics prescribed by a doctor for that. Sort of sounds like you have GERD though, so stop suffering needlessly and see your doctor.

Seeing a doctor is really really important, but to make it bearable in the meantime you should avoid acidic food and beverages (no coffee, alcohol, soda, orange juice, spicy food, etc.) and take a lot of antacids like Pepcid Complete. The doctor will give you a prescription for something much stronger, to stop your stomach from producing so much acid to it has time to heal.

I originally posted this as a way to help with concentration, but it works as a relaxation exercise for ulcers and pain too. take just before bed, or as needed.

The best technique I have used involves finding a quiet, dark place away from people, and laying down with my eyes closed. Because we live in a 4 dimensional world, I try to picture a 1 dimensional point. First step involves counting out time, because everything takes place there, and it is just too hard to count out. see a cube rotating in space. turn it around, look at all sides as it turns. watch it rotate for a bit. once you can see it clearly, mayeb even give each side a color, or a number, rotate it to see the top and bottom. let it spin slowly. once you have achieved this, slow it to a stop, and collapse one dimension. watch it become flat. let it spin a little, rotating slowly. once you are comfortable watching it drift slowly in space, take a deep breath, and hold it for 2 seconds before letting it out slowly. watch as the next dimension collapses. now it is a single line in space. let it roll, and spin slowly. notice that there are not any cornerers anymore, and let yourself relax as you see it from the end, and the side. relax and let the final dimension collapse slowly. once it is a single point, let your point of view change as you relax and see it from a drifting rotating perspective. Afterwards you will be able to wake up relaxed, refreshed and able to hold your concentration for at least as long as you put into the above exercise. It is a good idea to practice this when going to sleep.
