Somebody please tell me which program to use to convert and burn DVDs?

Question

I have been using Nero 8, but sometimes my video files that I add do not play back on a dvd. I burned one today that I got off the internet and when I played it back, it just rolled on the screen. Does this mean that the video was not formatted right?
It is so aggravating because I waited for hours for it to burn, and then it didn't work right. I am confused because I have burned other DVDs and they turned out fine. HELP!!!

in basic terms attempt to apply burner software such NERO burner software and receive contained in the internet the trial version regardless of if the function is restricted in basic terms. For the mean time use the software then familiarize the function of it do not because NERO burner is a delightful person burner software.

I use two programs that are FREE and your recordings are the quality as store bought dvd's. The programs are:
dvd decryptor
dvd shrink
