Sometimes you can tell by how they tell us what we believe.
for instance, if they speak of having our own planets, endless celestial sex with your goddess wives, and spirit BABIES, then it's pretty much a foregone conclucion that somewhere down the line, they got their info from Ed Decker.
edit: If the LDS church excommunicated everyone taht didn't pay their tithing, JUST BECAUSE they didn't pay their tithing, then the church membership would be cut in half, at least.

My patriarticle blessing was the kicker for me, it started the whole process, it just revealed some problems I was having and wasn't really a blessing to me, I burned it. The tehology of the church and I could tell I was being brainwashed. Most mormons won't let me use the excuse of my dysfunctional family because not all families are dysfunctional, even though everyone is a little dsyfunctional in some way or the fact that my ward with its visitin teachers and home teachers were no enough to keep me a good member, I was just never felt welcomed. My pior group was so mean to me, it was when I was a jackmormon that everyone was so nice, but it was too late then, I had left the church by then, I had found the anti-mormon material, but I already knew the church was not the place for me. My brother who is atheist now, I asked him what goes on in the temple and instead of telling me, he led me to www.ex-mormon.com, apparently what they say in there site is exactly what he did when he went thru the temple and the site run by the tanner family. the saintsalive site is a liitle out there though, but ed decker (www.saintsalive.com) has some good info on freemasondry, jehovah witness and harry potter mania, that I like and anything else that is popular that makes christians stray. Heres the utah site.:Source(s):

Personally, I am anti religion, but as for Mormons specifically, I lived in SLC for 2 years and worked for a High Counsel member of the LDS church.
I seriously considered becoming a member, and went through several studies in my house with the local bishop and at the ward. In the end, I found that there were many inconsistencies, in between D&C and the book of Mormon and my boss turned out to be stealing money from heathens and justifying it, while remaining a respected counsel member of the church.
That taught me all I needed to know.

Deu 12:32 What thing soever I command you, observe to do it: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
Rev 22:19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book.
You can not add to or take away from the Bible. The book of Mormon "Another Testament of Jesus Christ" is adding to the word of God in my opinion.
I have read that book and there is no power in it.
Now people from the Latter Day saints are nice and have good morals but they are not of the true church. They are mislead and like lost sheep that have gone astray

Those of The True Christian Faith know The Truth... knowing The Truth means that the deceptions of mormonisim are clear... Any thing that is against The Word and Will of God for mankind is a sin.... following mormonisim is a sin.
however... my opinion of mormonisim was fixed long before I came to know The Truth of God... I was recruted hard by the mormons for about 5 yrs before they finaly gave up on me... it was not for another 29 years that I finaly found The Way to God
edit add: why do you demand "reliable" sources?... when the mormons have none of their own... all they have is the word of one man supposadly confirmed by "visions" or "revelations" from his successors... which also can not be "confirmed"

One source I've read is, "Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of Violent Faith" by Jon Krakauer.

Most of my anti-mormon information comes from the Bible.
I left the Mormon church because I knew it wasn't true. At the time I was young and didn't know why it wasn't true. I just felt with every fiber of my being that it was a lie. After I grew up and got saved I learned from the Bible why the LDS church wasn't true.
Gal. 1:8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.

Anti-Mormons? or Former-Mormons?
I don't know many anti-mormons, but i do know a number of former mormons who pretty much said it was a combination of too much time at church and it not making any sense anymore.

I am against the Mormon religion because of what it teaches. I have talked to many Mormons about their life and the cultic practice that occur at Mormon temples. I also reject Mormonism for its total disregard for accurate history about America.
The major source I use for my disregard for the Mormon religion comes from a book known as the Mormon Bible, that i have on my shelf.
