This atheist does not believe in anything supernatural.
Gods, devils, spirits, ghosts, fairies, heaven, hell are all figments of the imagination.

Before we examine the notion of "why" atheists are superstitious we must determine that they indeed are superstitious.

Many people, you may have noticed, seem to enjoy using questions beginning with "why" as a means of introducing some opinion of judgement that is either questionable or an out-and-out fabrication.

I wouldn't accuse you of that, heaven knows, because you are a Christian, and as such, beyond reproach, like Ceasar's wife, but since you didn't supply any supporting evidence of your contention, I am not certain that your statement may entirely be relied upon for veracity.

Gee, I figured you'd at least have a couple more lines of nonsense to pass as an "explanation" of that ridiculous statement.

I'm sure you're referring to the fact that "God" can't be disproved, so atheists are "superstitious" for not believing in Him. Sigh.

Once again, take the "teapot orbiting Pluto" analogy. We can't disprove scientifically, with the means currently at our disposal, that there isn't a teapot orbiting Pluto. Does that mean that it's just as likely there as not? Does that mean that we're "superstitious" unless we believe in the Plutonian teapot?

Or, you know, leprechauns, unicorns, the Flying Spaghetti Monster, WMDs in Iraq. Take your pick.

You got me there... I haven't changed my underwear for fear of bad luck, I don't break any mirrors, I pray to the spirits not to bother me, I'm scared of black cats... oh wait, that's not me. OOPS

Do you always make random, unsupported assertions?

I can't imagine where you got that idea. What's your source of this "fact"?
