Check with U.S. military records in ST. Louis Missouri.

They have all military records there.

Provide them with a writen request by downloading form DD 148 (I Think) from the internet, if this is not the correct form look around for the right one.

If yopur family make it clear you are as they may not release records to just anyone; I asume your family as you ask.
