Are you passionate about them?
Do you think they should extinct?
I think there is no harm in them, they are like all dogs. Why shall we exclude them?

I love my Pit Bull. I got her when she was 6 weeks old. She is now 3 years, and is the love of my life. She is the sweetest, best dog ever. I also have three English Bulldogs and they get along famously. Of course I will say though, all of my dogs get lots of attention, love, exercise, plenty of car rides, runs on the beach,
playing at the park with their pup friends, and obedience classes, as well as homemade dinners every night. I love my dogs as you can tell. They are my children!! The owner is responsible for their dogs and doing all the responsible things to make their dog well mannered, and well socialized. Pit bulls should not be extinct, or outlawed, but quite Honestly I think Bad Owners Should Be!!!!

I am extremely passionate about them. I own one, and have been an advocate for them for the longest time.
No, I do not think they should be extinct. I think that if they are going to go after one breed, they need to go after all breeds. Because A-N-Y dog when trained, cause become mean, and bite, or be used to fighting. Not just pit bulls.
They are just like all dogs. When bred properly, they can and are some of the best dogs in the world. No matter what anyone says. It's not going to be possible to eliminate an entire breed. It's wrong, and stupid. I love pit bulls, and will personally not give up on any of them.

I'm not as passionate about Pits as I am about German Shepherds, Labs, Great Danes, and English Bulldogs, but they are wonderful dogs. No, Pits should not be extinct, and I don't care what the haters say...they've obviously never spend quality time with a Pit. Bad owners and the media are to blame for the bad reputation that Pits are getting.

I don't own a pitbull, but if it were up to me we would. My mom just doesn't want a big dog right now, especially not a dog with such a bad rep. We have 3 pugs, so if it ever just kinda... snapped, things would be really bad. But I love all the pitbulls I meet. One time I met a pit/lab mix at a park, it was nicer than our little pugs. It was so playful, and you could go throw rocks and it would chase the rocks and try and find them in the water. I met another Pit/lab mix too, it played a little rough with the dogs, but it was a puppy, and you could tell it didn't mean harm.

I've also seen a purebred brindle pitbull. It was brindle with a white underbelly, it was so hyper and excited to see all the people and dogs at petsmart. It was really cute. And then there's another pitbull that lives in the neighborhood whenever we take my dogs on walks, it lives with a bunch of other dogs, and whenever we walk by it sits there and wags its tail, while the other dogs bark at us. BUt the Pitbull tries to chase them away from the fence and get them to stop. It's really cute.

So I agree, I really like pitbulls.

Pit bulls are by far my favorite dog there is just to much stuff out there about them attacking people killing children and dog fighting if they are excluded then people will just target some other breed of dog then that breed will be in the same situation as the pit bull is now

I don't like pit bulls... I love pit bulls! That might have something to do with the fact that I own two American Pit Bull Terriers, or it may be because they are the best dogs I have ever owned. I couldn't ask for a better personality in a dog. They are loving, loyal, and eager to please.

Of course, there are pit bulls out there that may not be as desirable. Usually, ones that have been neglected or abused. Then again, that could apply to any dog. They desire a lot of love and attention...

Pit bulls are products of their owners. Irresponsible owners breed bad dogs!! I have the most loving and sweet pit bull ever. This is the first pit I've ever had and I love him more than anything. He's excellent around kids and he's very obedient. He only wants to please us.

Do I think they "should extinct"? I think you meant to say "do you think they should be extinct?" NO!! No more than people should be extinct. There are far worse people in the world than pits. Would that mean that some should feel people should be extinct? I think the idiot people that fight these dogs and breed them for those purposes should be extinct!!

Personally, I have nothing at all against Pit Bulls. Any breed can be aggressive, if not raised and trained properly. I don't think a certain breed, should be singled out, like the Pit Bull is.

Yes, I am passionate about pit bulls, they are awesome dogs.
People need to get some real education from people that have had years of experience with them. Instead of listening to the media who only feature stories to get ratings.

I am passionate about them now.

A few years ago, like a lot of people I thought there was just something wrong with the breed, or a % of them. I thought that is was a breed that was just so badly bred that you could not trust them to be good dogs. I had been misinformed by trash media just like so many people out there have been.

Then I got a job in a shelter, and met so many wonderful dogs of the bully persuasion. I talk to other pit bull defenders and questioned what I thought I knew. I started to read about them, a lot, and learned there are several pit bull breeds, that they are not all inbred, that they are far from aggressive with people, and they no more dangerous then any other breed of dog of the same size. I learned a lot about what people do to cause their dogs to become dangerous no matter what breed they are, and just how few people know what an active and potentially dog aggressive bully breed dogs needs in regards of training and exercise to be happy and well adjusted. In fact I saw people with all kinds of different breeds who were completely ignorant of how dogs should be raised often with tragic results. Out of control dogs where ones that were not fixed, not trained, left outside all day, not vetted regularly, and not socialized. That was the predictor of who would be a bad dog, not the breed. In fact the most out of control dogs I saw the most often were not bullies, but Jack Russell Terriers (just my shelter maybe). Most of the people who left their dogs with us were very ignorant of the breed they chose, got the dogs from pet stores or from unplanned litters, and had acted on impulse to pick that dog for themselves instead of being well educated about the breed.

Within a few years my city banned them and I saw the outcome. Our shelter became over run with dumped dogs of the pit persuasion. Many people just dropped them off without even giving us some background. The ban ment all puppies we got were in peril and we had so many pregnant moms and puppies we needed to sprit away in the night, so the city could not seize them and have them put down. After you see city officials come to destroy a litter of week old pups, you never forget who the real monsters are.

Folks left their dogs when landlords threatened to evict and no one wanted to adopt them incase their insurance would not cover them or they could not move to another apt in the future. Abuse against pit bull dog spiked right after the ban went into affect. The worst thing I ever saw was a dog that had been doused with some kind of accelerant (lighter fluid?) and had bee set on fire!! That dog died one of the most painful deaths I have ever witnessed, and for three days his cries of pain could be heard from any corner of the building. And why? Because our city bought into the downright racist and eugenic lies about what a dog is. Now good dogs owned by good people have to be muzzled all the time, and that is not just unfair, but is damaging to the dog's mind. The worst thing of all is not no laws were passed to protect animals, only ban them, and nothing has been done to educate the public about puppy mills and animal abuse. Nothing has been done at all to help dogs and help owners make better choices. I now worry all the time my dog's breed will be banned next!!

A dog is a dog is a dog. There are differences in breeds, but far less then most people think. They all have the same traits, but different breeds have those traits in lesser and greater amounts. It is not the dogs who have changed, it is the people who have changed!!!

P.S. All dog owners should be passionate about Pits. If we arn't it will be YOUR favorite breed banned next. Look at Itally who has banned over 20 breeds including the CORGIE!?!
