I've always had a memory of watching this programme (I was 8 at the time) I could remember the title and that it was aired early in the morning on C.4 but very little else.

So I just did a search, turns out Ramona is a lot more creepy than I remember:

Do any of you remember Ramona, It seems like a programme that not many people remember?

I vaguely remember it, she had a very annoying sister. I used to read the books. I remember the episode when Ramon dyed her hands book or something like that

Yes.
I read all the books when I was a kid and then when I was a bit older discovered that programme been shown on TV. Funnily enough the little girl who played Ramona was kind of how I'd imagined her to be.

"Ramona" was the series based on the "Ramona the Pest" series of books by Beverly Cleary. It was a Canadian-made series which aired on PBS in the States and the CBC in Canada.

To date it hasn't been reaired or released on DVD AFAIK.

There are now seven books in the series (see the link below).

The TV series ran for four months back in '88 and starred Sarah Polley as Ramona. (see Wikipedia entry below)

She is pretty creepy! But yeah I remember her fondly and I even read the books! I remember some episode with an egg on her head...?

So funny. I havent thought of Ramona in years!:-)

Yeah and her sister's named was bezus or something haha. Theres a bunch of Ramona books.

I used to watch it here in the US; I think it came on PBS. I liked it. I read the books also.
