No. Only anti-Mormon conspiracy theorists believe this sort of silliness.

No. As a matter of fact, we are encouraged to share our beliefs with "outsiders", some of which are considered "controversial". When I was a missionary, I encountered many people who wanted to discuss controversial topics. Did I just tell them "Sorry, I can't talk about that." and walk away? No, of course not. How can anyone's concern over a controversial issue be resolved unless we explain it?

Nope.. but why explain it to someone who really doesn't want to know in the first place? If you really cared to learn the doctrine, then you wouldn't ask questions that seem like they are attacking us.
Oh.. we aren't the Mormons. We are LDS, or members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Mormon is a nickname that I don't care too much for.
I told you on your last question, if you want to know more, let me know. I'd be glad to talk to you, but if all you want is to bash or to be mean, I won't go there. I will be respectful to you and your beliefs, and I would ask the same in return.

nope - I personally enjoy an honest exchange of thought, ideas and experiences - but I will not necessarily share my most personal experiences with someone I don't know -- for the simple reason that I don't want them mocked -- and that is not just regarding my religion but also all things which are closest to my heart.
Any time you honestly want to ask why I believe the way I do, I will answer you. If you do it in a polite and personable manner. If you do so in a rude or mocking way, I will ignore you everytime.

Nope. Not at all. We'll do our best to answer any questions to the best of our knowkedge. On social topics that are considered controversial, such as homosexuality, abuse, etc, the Church has issued specific statements that can be found at www.lds.org.

No.
Most "controversial" issues are things that have been misconceived or rumored to be "true"... why cast my pearls before swine? I don't mind discussing my beliefs, but when a person just wants to antagonize me, why give them any attention? Contention is of the devil.

i am not told anything like that.
if it is someone i know that i can sit and explain my point to, i will do it.
i will not, however, waste my time putting it out there for people to jump on me and take everything out of context, because even if it did make sense to them, they wouldnt care anyways.

We are encourage to discuss our belief with all people, to those who wants to know.
But do keep in mind, I would not explain calculus to someone who could not even comprehend basic 1,2,3.
