Do you live a second life in your dreams?

Question

I'm asking because well I do, or it feels like I do. All of my dreams (which are in my control most of the time) always revolve around this enormous place. Towns, schools, stores, train stations ect. Example: i'll dream about living in a house on one dream, and in another i'll walk by that house. All of my dreams seemed to be connected. It happens to me alot...I guess its my "dreamland," I was wondering if it was just me or if it happens to other people too?

omg...that happens to me all the time. It sometimes gets on my nerves, but yah its part of life.

I'm a writer and usually seem to dream and I'm in the role of my book counterpart. Most of my dreams are scenes from my books or something that gives me an idea for something new.

Yes it really does and this happens a lot, like myself, I kept dreaming of this dirty place, muddy water, run down, people hanging out everywhere, when New Orleans happened and they were showing pictures on TV, that was exactly how my dreams looked. Shocking sometimes. xx

I know this may sound silly, but i think maybe our dreams are like a life in an alternate dimension, you know like our own "personal worlds" maybe dreams are real and reality is just a dream!

That happens to me too!! in dreams everything makes sense in an abstract way. and i see people who i've never seen before...how do we do that? make up how people look like?
