They should show movies, and if you don't like the choices, take a laptop or portable DVD player and watch your own, but make sure you have enough battery power! You can download movies off iTunes for $10-16 so you don't have to worry about taking DVDs if you have a laptop.
Try to sleep! It makes the time go faster! But don't take a sleeping pill--on a flight it can be very dangerous! Besides that, read, write, listen to music, maybe take a video game.
My favorite thing, though--have your friends write letters for you before you go that you can read on the plane. It's so fun!

All of these suggestions are great, I will add one more thing. Get up and walk around for a while. There was a TV news correspondent that died during the 2nd Iraq invasion, because he didn't get up and move around. I forgot what it was called. When ever I fly for more than 3 hours I get up and if nothing else I walk up and down the aisle for a while. Heck you need to go to the bathroom any way. Just don't sit for the whole trip. I did a lot of walking when I flew from San Francisco to Singapore back in 2003. Singapore Airlines in one great airline, they encourage you to walk during a flight.

hmmmmmm....... good question :) i've got been flying to India and returned virtually each and every 365 days and have in no way chanced on an answer... the superb element you're able to do is to sleep! it no longer in common terms makes time circulate quicker it is going to additionally make you no longer be stricken by jetlag as quickly as you attain ur holiday spot. different than that take notwithstanding you like.. a e book, track cds, transportable DVD participant with ur renowned movies a workstation etc etc... what's the itinerary? i think of A321 and A319 are the flight numbers, no longer varieties of planes as somebody else reported... No thought what planes they are going to have.. yet maximum international flights supply lunch/dinner , snacks, beverages. So there is in many situations no could desire to take any foodstuff... you could consistently carry stuff like biscuits, nuts etc .. yet no perishables would be allowed on some flights.. so examine with ur airline. As for entertainment, long distance flights even have in flight entertainment like movies and track. i've got as quickly as flown by utilising Jet airlines and it had each and all of the entertainment you need to desire for .. many English movies ..previous classics, greater present day movies, indian community language movies, a lot of caricature channel and track channels.. so we in no way even took out the stuff we had prepared approximately us. so returned.... call up your airline and ask approximately foodstuff , entertainment etc.

We sent men from Seattle to Nagasaki and the flight was 20 hours. I heard one saying he was taking magazines but I would take books maybe two novels and some candy bars or something for extra snacks in case they don't feed well.

If you have a window seat, look out the window.
Bring a couple books with you, and read.
If the airline is showing movies, watch them.
If the airline has XM radio in the armrest, listen to music.
