I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these....
There is an awful lot of "doing" in that section.

you ar quite right----the question is a little hidden but it is in regards to the people who say works are not necessary. Doesn't this say that they are?

Jesus brought salvation and revelation; his miracles were signs of these things. The works of the disciples will continue this ministry. The Spirit, from whom mighty works will proceed, is to be sent by Jesus seated in glory at the Father's right hand.

If you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can literally tell a mountain to get up and move and it will. I submit that nobody has even that small amount of faith. Faith is not hoping, wanting, or imagining. Faith is knowing. How many people will truthfully say that their faith in Jesus is so certain that they can move a matchbox car with a word?

Read the book of James. It's not that we are saved by works, it's that if we are saved, it will be evident in how we live, in our love and compassion...which is seen by what we do. I mean, you can't say you love and have compassion while watching someone starve in-front of you. You can't say God's come in and cleansed your heart from sin if you're still sinning (I mean intentionally doing things you know are wrong). You can't say God's Spirit dwells in you if you don't feel compelled to obey His leading and try to reach the lost.
So works won't save you, but they are evidence that you're saved.

First, what's Jesus been doing? The most noticeable one is his ability to stay away from sins. So if you have faith in him, you'll do this also, stay away from sin.
Second, he said that those who have faith in him will do even greater things. What did he mean?
Unlike him, we're all sinners, thus what's greater than avoiding sin is the ability to recover from sin.
That's one thing that Jesus have not done, to commit sin, repent, then return to God.

Who cares. Religion is just a crutch for people to use when they are going to compromise thier own morals and for some reason or another they do not think that they can manage thier own life by depending on themselves. GOD did this for me!!!!! CRAP!!!! You did it for you. People always say "Its a miracle" when something good happens.Praise GOD!!!!! Well if he is such an awesome GOD why do babies get raped and sold on the black market every day?Why do HIS loyal followers die of cancer? Why does so much bad happen if HE is always there watching over us. Is that where the FAITH is supposed to come into play?
