Anyone have any ideas for cute fall wedding decoration ideas.. the colors are deep red and kind of an orangish yellow. Any helpful ideas would be greatly appreciated.

the wedding is an evening wedding (around 6) and is outside by the lake. The very small reception will be inside a cabin like building which also overlooks the lake. We are looking for really simple decorations, not to jazzy. The orangish yellow color I am talking about is more yellow than orange.

Does your wedding have a theme? Is it formal or informal? Day or night? A lot of things affect what would be a good centerpiece idea.
Do you want candles? Flowers? Or are you ok with something more modern and creative? Does the room have a lot of height? If it's a seated dinner, you may want something tall so that people can still see the others at their tables.
Orangeish yellow is close to the color of terracotta pots so you could use that. Pick a fall plant and you can plant it in your yard afterwards.
I'm really fond of votive trees. Or twigs for fall weddings. Place twigs in a vase, arching out the top. You can even tie red or orange ornaments to the twigs. Or one of those straight (or curved) votive holders if you have a narrow table.
One thing I find gorgeous is submerging fruit in a vase with water. In your case, you could use oranges, mangos, or many gourds, slice some and leave some whole. Float a red candle on the top.
A big 3-wick candle comes in all sorts of scents and colors. That would also be small and not block people's view. Another idea is something that goes with your theme.
I've been to a wedding where small gourds (like those multicolored ones you see now) were carved with Love, Faith, Hope, and other wedding terms.
There are those big brandy sniffers you can get at walmart or michaels. Fill that with liquid and scatter leaves and small candles around underneath. It will make the liquid look as if it's glowing. Especially pretty if you use bourbon or whisky in it.
A flat bowl of water and float a single large flower in it. You need a larger table for this to not take up most of the space.
My little cousin is thinking about using one of my idea of a wine glass filled with red wine and scattering dark chocolate chunks around on the mirror with candles. Or using one of those 3 candle stands--wrapping cinnamon sticks tightly together in a ribbon of a wedding color, and pillar candles on the other two.
I hope some of these ideas help.

Have your flower girl sprinkle orange and red leaves instead of flowers. Also keep centerpieces low and stick with your fall colors. Dont go with roses. They make beautiful fall centerpieces with a lot of leaves, fruits, berries etc. This is also cheaper because of the minimum flowers. Or for centerpieces use Gerber daisies. These come in such vibrant colors they are gorgeous. Get them in orange red and yellows. They are a great addition for a fall wedding. Good luck!

Considering that you will be out by a lake & cabin, I would stick with simple, natural decorations with a more rustic feel. Theknot.com has lots of great ideas, heres a message board I found under rustic fall wedding ideas, there are tons of pictures that you can get ideas from, either copy one or mix a few different elements together to create your own look. Most importantly though, I would keep it simple. Good luck, it will be beautiful!

I like Savannah's answer!
But how about a candle in the center of the pumpkin ? Cut the stem out like you would to carve it but just insert a candle instead. Maybe place flowers around the base of the pumpkin...link a ring.
Remember table decorations shouldn't be so large that they block the view of the other people at the table - so that's a good excuse to use small pumpkins. :)

You copied me! :) Good choices. I got married a couple years ago, I'm not sure what the trends are now. We had lots of deep purply/red and deep orangey/yellow lillies and flowers. I had MandM's made in my colors as well for favors (those were a big hit). You can always find candles and linens in fall colors.

Use real pumpkins for centerpieces with a fall mum in the center. Would save you a ton of $$$. Spread fall leaves or fake leaves on the tables as an accent.

mini fall leaves (get them at craft store) sprinkle in center of the tables.... get small flower pots and paint them with a copper color paint, place branches that are painted w/ the copper color in plaster of paris in the pots, attach a few of the leaves on the branch... it creates a tree with it's leaves falling off. have a cake with the fall leaves, berries and branches as topper and seperating the layers. good luck
