Would a perfect being, like Adam or Eve... use their free will to choose evil?

Why would a perfect being choose to do evil, wouldn't that be something an imperfect being would do?

cnm: I'm asking you to think about the impossibility of a perfect being doing imperfect things. I don't need you to recite what I already know (as indicated by the content of my question)

Good question. If Adam and Eve were perfect, they wouldn't have succomb to the devil's temptations. Whoever wrote Genesis must not have thought it out very well.

Depends on what you understand and know of anything perfect, Adam and Eve where created and were sinless at first and in this we can say they were as pure as human beings can be in heart and mind but they were not perfect as God is perfect, they had limitations according to the species just as Angels have limitations according to their species.
Therefore they did not have a perfect understanding or else they would not have sinned and disobeyed the Creator, but the very fact that they had limitations was also the cause of their future salvation.

Remember that all humans are perfect until Satan entices them to do wrong, just as he did with Eve. God made people in His image but He gave them free will to do as they wish. Satan will tempt people to do bad but he can't force them to do wrong. Ultimately, it's down to each human to make their own choices. If not, there wouldn't be any atheists because God would "force" them to believe in Him. Free will is the answer. I hope this helps and I'll pray for you.

Adam and Eve fell into sin of their own choice. God knew they would choose evil, so he had already planned for his one and only son, Jesus, to live a sinless life and die on the cross as a sacrifice for the sin of Adam and Eve as well as all who turn from sin by faith to the Lord Jesus Christ.

Why would a student with high IQ who refuses to read his books fail his exams?

They were made perfectly. They also had free will to chose whatever they wanted. They chose wrong and were punished for it.
