My husband and I got orders to PCS to England in March, we put in an early request for Feb so i will be in my 2nd Trimester. Today when he was going to get his medical and dental clearence they told him at so many weeks the military will not alow me (pregnant) to travel, so they may send him and not me or cancel it or just push it back until July. He can't remember how many weeks they told him. Just wondering. Thanks.

I think I answered one of questions in the pregnancy section too lol! Early baby shower?

My sister came from Misawa AB when she was 32 weeks pregnant (3rd trimesters). The military said they wouldnt let her fly after 34 weeks pregnant (which is technically too late)... as long as you have a healthy normal pregnancy and no complications. If for some reason you have to have the baby in the states, you will have to wait to recieve his or her birth certificate and then get them a passport which can take a while. I wouldn't anticipate them not letting you fly or putting his orders on hold in your second trimester.

It's not up to the military but your doctor - usually most airlines won't let you fly after 36wks without a note from the Dr as they really don't want to deliver that baby over the Atlantic!

Blessings!

i PCSed at 32 weeks along..but had to get the doctor to clear me. Its not the military that makes the decision...although i know you cant get on a AMC flight past 36 weeks internationally.

My ex-wife came to Germany when she was about 8 months. All she needed was a letter from her doctor.

it isn't the military that makes the determination, it is the doctor and the airlines.

they may make him go on ahead and you follow once the baby is born.
