Male cats do not go into heat

'Heat' is only what female cats have. Males are usually ready to go anytime they smell a female in heat--IF they're not altered.

A neutered cat, though, CAN still get all funky happy on something soft, especially in the first month after being neutered. It takes about a month for the hormones to calm down. And they'll occasionally try humping maybe once a year or so, but for most once they've been neutered they just drop it completely.

Males cats don't go into heat...only females do. Humping on stuff is very odd behavior. I've heard of it recently about a friend's cat but it's highly unusual. If he was neutered late in life, these just may be lingering habits that he became accustomed too. Very strange indeed. You might want to check with your vet and make sure he didn't miss anything during the castration surgery!

male cats do not go into heat. They get horny. If he's acting strange, take him to the vet. If he's fixed, he's probably not "humping" anything. And since you're probably not a licensed veterinarian, take him in to find out of there's something wrong with him.

Male cats who have been neutered are sometimes still interested in pretending to do the deed. My sister had a cat that really liked one her teddy bears and every opportunity that he got, well - it was gross. If the object of his affection is new or smells different then it's probably ok but if he's acting weird with normal stuff you may want to take him to the vet's to be checked out.

Males don't go into heat.

Mounting can be a sign of dominance.

Even though he is neutered, he may still smell a female in heat somewhere and it may be triggering some instincts in him.

Male cats cannot be in heat... I know what you meant though... and yes they can still get horny if they been clipped... just like dogs that been clipped, they still get horny too.
