This is not my opinion, I don't care either way. However, Muhammed El Fayed is getting on my nerves seeing everything in a way that suits him.

Dodi and Di had just been in a hotel room for a long time together. I once spent a long time in a hotel room with a guy who later bought me a beautiful ring as his way of saying thank you for great sex.

So there could be another reason for the ring. When replying please remember that all I am doing is saying there are many possible reasons for the ring. Even Di's best friends are saying that "No way was it an engagement ring, that is not where Di was going." I don't know what the ring was for, but I don't think it was for engagement. What do you think it was for?

Mickey G, guess you don't know very much so your opinion is not worth much. The Al Fayed family wanted nothing more then Dodi and Do to get together officially. The old Al Fayed was denied citizenship even though he owned Harrods. He wanted to cause as much stink at as possible, and Dodi and Di marrying would have made him and his family very happy. Have an opinion darling, but at least have some facts to back it up

I agree no way was that an engagement ring, it was just a gift The Al Fayed family would never of insulted the Princess with an £11,000 ring with all their millions. that was the equivalent of the high school rings given in America to girlfriends.
I think this court case is disgusting to of taken so long to go to court and very cruel to William and Harry.
I hope at least she spent her last days being happy.

The Phoney Pharaoh is becoming a pain in the nether regions. The whole thing was an accident. His rather egotistical son and his rather egotistical mistress died in a car crash due to not wearing seat belts. Mohammed Fayed,to give him his proper name( Al, denoting nobility was self awarded) is upset at many rightful refusals to supply him with a British passport. He will do anything to harm "The Establishment"

I do remember that Dodi's ex was enraged because after he met Di he called off the engament. The ladies name I can't remember was trying to sue to keep the ring estimated in the millions. Maybe thats the ring he wanted to give Diana or that Diana's ring was a message to that woman to bug off.

I understand your curiousity...However, I feel any reply is pure speculation. Only the late Princess and Mr. al-Fayed know the real reason, and they're not talking.

I would hate to see this People's Princess portrayed other than as a head over heels in love woman whose lover just proposed to her. Somehow a ring for sex is not as glamorous.

i think it was an engagement ring. i think they were really in love but hiding it cause it would have just caused problems for both families.
