God literally wrote the 10 commandments not once but twice. Where are those by the way? Anyway, so then he decided the bible should not be written by him, just inspired by him, right? Makes it pretty tough to believe when we know how prone man is to creating lies and manipulating everything to get his own way. Just take a look at the Christian faith itself. How many variants are there now? Each one decided that following some of the rules didn't work for them so they split off to become a different branch of the same faith. Isn't it amazing that the proof of Gods existence is not available to man? He really did decide to take the hands off approach didn't he? When he checks out there is not getting through, huh? No voice mail, no email, no forwarding address. Man that deity is a tough one to track down.

Have you seen the bible?? There's hundreds of pages to that thing and the words are all really tiny. Like God has time for all that fiddling around.

Ten commandments - BAM - done! Best freakin' commendments you've ever seen! God's a big picture guy... Let the little guys fret and fuss over the dusty old bible.

I will only answer one of your questions....I'm too tired to get into a debate about religion.

Where are the 10 commandments? We don't know. We only know that they were placed in the Ark of the Covenant and kept in the Holy of Holies inner sanctum of the Hebrew Temple. The Temple was sacked sometime in antiquity and the Ark has gone missing. Historians do not know when. (Ever seen the film "Raiders of the Lost Ark"?) There is an Ethiopian monastary which claims that the Ark resides there (but no one but the High Priest is allowed in to see it). Scholars today admit the trail has gone dry.

Okay, so maybe I have a LITTLE energy.

Why are there so many different versions of the bible? Man decided what to put in a collective book that we know today as the bible. It wasn't until the 1600s that King James (of England) commissioned a group of learned scholars to sift through the countless books, scrolls and papers regarding the Hebrew history and faith and Jesus Christ and His followers and decide which ones were to be bound up together, and in what order, and put into one volume - and what to leave out. At that time most people could not even read, let alone own a bible. Only the wealthy and the learned (which were few) had access to books. If God had "decided" to write the bible, why did He wait 1,600 years AFTER the death of Jesus to do it? Because He didn't. Man did....And men continue to do so today, thus the different versions of the bible and denominations of Christianity.

You ask about proof of God's existence. This goes to the very heart of the matter. It goes hand in hand with trying to "understand" God. The very nature of a supreme being is unknowable and above the comprehension of mere human beings. Personally, I wouldn't want a God whom I could understand. He wouldn't be much a God, now wouldn't He? Proof that He exists? If there were proof, we would all have NO CHOICE but to believe in Him. Notice I put "no choice" in capitals....why? Because "choice" is the very crux of the matter. If we could not choose to believe, if we were forced to believe, what good would that belief be? How would it be important? When humans choose to believe in God, without proof, it then becomes meaningful.

Think about it this way - If you have children and you force them to say that they love you, does it mean anything? Or does it mean more when they say they love you on their own, without cohersion?

I hope I've explained my beliefs in a friendly way......I meant to.

The Torah, The Psalms, (Bible)The Gospel, The Quran are all inspired by the God of Abraham. The Bible however wasn't compiled until four hundred years after Jesus left the universe. The emperor Constantine had a lot of input on who that went. Man cannot have any input on the word of God. There can interpretations but as far is the word is concerned it has to be authentic. If one reads the gospel of St. Barnabas or St. Thomas, in them Jesus Christ was not crucified he was raised prior to that, the forgiveness of sins is directly associated with The Lord, there's no intercessor. This earth is a spec of dirt, so insignificant, we need the creator much more than he needs us. He can destroy us and create other "earths" with no issue, he doesn't care if we know of him or not; it helps US if we do. That is the sure reality. Now the Psalms, the Quran, and the Torah are in their authentic form meaning exact replicas of the initial ones to every vowel. For some reason the mid-east population thinks that the Torah and the Quran are meant for them! They are the revelations of the Lord of the worlds. The Lord says that he chose those languages because of the sounds they make, they are supposed to be cosmic sounds, that's it! There's no other reason for them to be in those languages.

Peace,

You Bro

the ten commandments are in the bible, perfect example if you had read the bible you would know where they are. if you want to know exactly i will tell you. yes man is deceiving and lies and some will do anything to get there way or what they want. but those are the materialistic ones. people don't always interpet things in the same way, we all have to do the best we can with what we have. if you believe prayer helps, and some say they don't but when things get bad that seems to be what they want.

"What the Law could NOT do, God did, sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh. And for sin, He condemned sin in the flesh. In order that the just requirement of the Law might be 'fulfilled IN US,' who walk NOT according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit." Romans 8:3-4
The Commandments: Exodus 20:2-17
There are multiple denominations, but very few Basic Tenants to Christianity, of which Christ Himself is the central One. People differ, regions differ, families differ...for some one idea is more central than another...basic Tenants...The Same (even protestant & catholics...oh! Dare I say it!).
Although some raised Catholic might dispute this, IT ISN'T ABOUT FOLLOWING RULES, it's about following A PERSON-Jesus Christ.

No proof available to man? "because what may be known of God is manifest in THEM, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation f the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead..." Romans 1:19-20
"Let the heavens declare His righteousness, for God Himself is Judge." Psalm 50:6

You speak of his 'hands-off' approach...Have you examined YOUR hand lately? Invisible attributes like, say...'love'. Prove to me that that exists! Fortunately, you don't have to because He already has. Personality...prove to me that THAT exists...you don't have to, I can already appreciate that you are endowed with plenty! Tough to track down, yes...I guess if you were the ruler trying to find the body of Christ, you might say that. He went HOME. Even ET knows how to phone home, will you?

God wrote the guidelines on the two stone pills which Moses smashed. Then Moses back to the best of the mt. and God had him write the guidelines on stone himself for the two reproduction. (it relatively is interior the Bible). THe writings of the books of the Torah and NT have been written on parchment, leaves, and animal skins. They have been stored in clay jars. Ever pay attention of the lifeless Sea scrolls? As time went on, they have been rewritten by utilising clergy adult adult males for the time of the centuries to maintain them. Then translated into Greek and Latin onto parchment and then paper. adult adult males spent their finished person lives rewriting the scriptures to determine there have been no blunders interior the translations. Then adult adult males like Luther, Calvin and King James rewrote them and extra and left out words, verses, chapters and books. that's a sin in accordance to the Bible. And thousands and thousands of Christians on the instant use their bible translations in blunders.
