You have one of three options already:
1-Take a cab.
2-Switch to a mountain bike.
3-Deal with it.

On the serious side, how could they work it to suit all speed limits? Do you actually go 70 in a school zone? The speedometer does not restrict you to only go 105, it only measures speeds up to 105. If you go faster you just need to take the cops word for the actualy speed you travel.

Why don't they sell guns that don't shoot?
Why don't they sell guns that can't cut?
Why don't they sell alcohol that doesn't impair you?

Most people complain about their rights being infringed upon and now you come with "I'm not responsible enough to have the right to have a car without a governor." This country does not have enough "personal accountability". It is always someone elses fault.

Take a looooooong look in a mirror and realize that YOU are in control of your actions, not GM or Ford. Then take the responsibility to live withint the laws set.

Okay, so we limit your car to 70 and say it;'s to prevent speeding. Now you drive 70 miles an hour through a school zone and kill a bus load of children. "but the car was supposed to keep me from speeding". There is something in the car that can prevent speeding in all situations. It's called the driver. If you are unable to do so, you should not be a driver.

Please government, make another law to protect me from my uncontrollable self...

MAYBE YOU SHOULD MOVE TO GERMANY.
THE AUTOBAHN HAS NO SPEED LIMIT.
(HEARD FROM FRIENDS THERE HAVE BEEN ACCIDENTS AT 240 MPH. NOTHING LEFT TO FIND THEY SAY THE CARS JUST DISINTEGRATE AT THAT SPEED??)

YOUR QUESTION OF 105 WHY NOT 70? WELL SON AT 70 YOU HAVE TO GO 105 ACCELERATION TO HIT PASSING ANOTHER CAR GOING 70 WHICH I AM SURE YOU DO ALL THE TIME, THAT'S WHY?

WE DO HAVE RESTRICTER PLATES AT NASCAR,BUT THEN YOU ARE NOT A BURTON, JOHNSON, BUSCH, KAHANE ARE YOU? (OH BYTHE WAY THEIR IS FOR 230?)

Because the speed limit is not the same on every road. It would be too complicated to restrict the vehicle in a way that would vary every time you turned a corner.

You sound like a spoiled, immature whiner that thinks the speed limit shouldn't apply to you because you want to be some kind of hot shot in your hot marquee. Grow up. You agreed to obey the posted limits when you got the license, so deal with it.

someplaces the speed limit is as low as 10 or 15. You ready to trade up for a golf cart? :)

some vehicles do have this thing called a govenor on them... even though the speedometer says one thing, in these cars you cant get over whatever it is set at, usually between 65-85 mph

the extra power & speed saves you in case you have to overtake suddenly, limiting the speed would also reduce the power on the top of the graph.

Wait so the government has to put governors on vehicles because you cannot be personally responsible enough to follow the law? You broke the law, pay your ticket and suck it up.
