a second hand bmw or a new yaris should both be excellent vehicles. the yaris will definitely be cheaper to own but the bmw has style and you will probably keep it longer.

I was in this exact same position a while ago.

The idea of stepping out of a BMW is certainly an appealing one. After a while, I thought "who I am kidding?" I'd feel rediculous stepping out of that 535i I had my eye on.

There's a reason BMW's are for the upper-echelons. Us normal folk might be able to afford the used purchase prices, but when it comes to maintenance and upkeep, you start to remember this is an upper-class car. Try buying a set of tires for one of those things!!

I went with a used Acura Integra instead and I'm happy I did. The Japanese make really great, front-wheel-drive cars that are very easy to own. Not to mention that whenever it snows, it's nice to be happily treading along and then come up behind an Z-3 that looks like it's in a skating competition (the exact scene out my windshield 2 years ago).

The Yaris is a great car.

With just those two options I'd go with the Yaris. BMW's are more expensive to maintain and with mileage already on it I doubt there's much of any warranty if any at all. With a new car you'll get warranty, better mileage and ease of mind. It's better to be smart than cool.

How many miles on that BMW?

Brand new cars are great, but as soon as you drive them off the lot, they lose a lot of value. A car that is 1-2 years old should still be in great shape with low mileage for a LOT less money.

Something to think about.

a every day run of 40Km it is approx. 1200 Km in line with month does no longer justify you buying a diesel version so only choose of Honda Civic. it truly is a huge vehicle with stable after revenues provider dedication from the Honda human beings. Else, in case you insist on Diesel... Then choose Chevrolet beat... magnificent pickup and intense velocity dynamics and macho seems... yet indoors high quality is amazingly no longer so good because it relatively is competitors.
