how come so many U.S citizens retire in Latin America according to statistics because of climate, and cost of living, but whenever Latin Americans try to go to your country legally it's impossible, "ok sir we will look into it" 10 years later "yeah you have been DENIED" I know there's so many illegals specially Mexicans but why do you hold grudge against all the rest of the Hispanics, I'm from Chile, we are different from the rest of latin america

"how come so many U.S citizens retire in Latin America according to statistics" - I have never seen any statistics to support this claim. I do not know ANYONE that has retired to Latin America from the US.
If you wait 10 years for an answer without followup you are as much to blame.
I do not hold a grudge against any country. I do despise the illegal acts of people that commit crimes including entering the US without permission.

1. It is a very small number, but those that do, do it because it's cheap.
2. Latin American's are "denied" entry no more often than nationals from anywhere else in the world.
3. There is no grudge against legal immigrants. If the 20 million plus illegals were all deported today, quotas could be raised across the board for all legal immigrants...then YOU, my legal friend, who seems a law abiding person, would have a much greater chance to emigrate to this country. Blame the illegals for the difficulties you face. It is definitely their fault.

How are you different from mexicans? Is it because you are not close enough to swim across a river that separates you from the u.s.. Why is it that hispanics like to dog their own? What contribution have you chileans brought to the u.s. That mexicans havent.
To answer your question, us citizens and other nationals are the ones who make up most of latin americas economy from tourism. Why wouldnt they want them there.

Because Latin American countries need US dollars a lot more than the US needs Latin American immigrants.
Not trying to be cruel, but that's basically it. A rich retired American adds a lot more to the Chilean economy than a Chilean immigrant adds to the US.

The US takes in more immigrants than the rest of the countries in the world combined. The same people who used to process 200,000 applications a year now have to process over 2 million a year. There are no jobs here, the economy is bad, and crime is skyrocketing. You don't want to come here.

We let people with a lot of money in, too.
The people retiring are purely spending, not using schools etc.
I like Chile. I don't know what your visa failure rate is (the percentage of those who are denied visas as likely to overstay.) I do know that Argentina is likely to get into the visa waiver program with our country after 2008, based on our new rules (higher allowed visa failure rate.) However, that is likely to be the determining factor.
We like Poland, too, but it has about a 25 % visa failure rate, so it won't get visa waiver status.
(And the fact is, we give more resident visas to Mexicans than to people from any other country in the world.)

No one cares about retired U.S. citizens moving to other countries, because they are retired and do not take jobs that would otherwise be held by citizens of that country. Latin Americans do take jobs in the U.S. that would otherwise be held by U.S. citizens.
