Don't throw her out of the house. But I know how you feel my room mate does the same thing it is very irritating. Even more so when they try to replace it with a similar product. Like strawberry cheesecake yogurt verses plain cherry. Not quite the same.

I believe you should confront her first. Ask her why she took the yogurt. Hopefully there is a good explanation for why she performed such a heinous act without consulting you first. If her excuse does not satisfy your needs you can calmly explain to her that the next time it happens she will be kicked out of your home so fast/hard that she'll be tasting the sole of your shoes for a month.

Tell her she's eaten the yoghurt that you forgot to throw away cos it was 2 weeks out of date!!!! Offer her a loo roll to take home for later just in case!

No throw the yogurt out and she will chase it! Then lock all the doors behind you and you can tell your wife she willingly left!

Please dont throw her out of the house for that. But you do have to let her know that that is not acceptable. ANd if this is a continual thing, you need to have a long talk with your wife.

I recommend buying extra yogurt - let it be known "THIS" set is yours and off limits.
Trying to throw her out over this - you're just asking for trouble.
When differences in likes got to be too much in my place, we settled it by designating certain items were mine, others were yours, even if they were otherwise identical.

That really does depend how much the yogart meant to you?? How long had you known the yogart? How much pleasure had it given you? I would consider how much joy you would have gotten from the yogart, and how much misery you are going to get from throwing your mother-in-law out!!

I say suck it up and go and buy some more.. if it happens again then you can throw her out!

I think you maybe using this as a excuse to throw her out. Do some introspective thinking about your wifes mother. How do you feel about her?
