I believe one of your commandants is:
Thou shalt not KILL

So I don't think the taking of a life for any reason would be good. But ,not being a christian I really don't know how your religion would deal with it.

But keep this is mind....AS long as there is life, there is a chance to say ' I love you' and to spend precious time with loved ones. Once someone is gone, there is no more time and that is sometimes the hardest part of life we have to learn to live with. 2 years after my father's unexpected death, I still mourn and cry everyday. So a person committing suicide does NOT ease the burden of others emotionally.

I wish you and your loved ones the best in this difficult time.

The idea that one's death could ease the burden on others is a sign of very distorted thinking, typical of people who are clinically depressed. Nobody can know if there is a god or an afterlife and it's not important. What is important is this life, the only life we can know we have. Anybody with suicidal thoughts should get professional help. Life is worth living.

Committing suicide only eases your burden not that of others. To me it's a cowards way to escape life which can be pretty sweet if you know how to live!

i think it is ok to commit suicide but not for the reason you state, easing the burden of others......it's better to have a selfish reason...like the need for a new body, that is if you believe in reincarnation....a need to start over...among other things

Suicide is not an option. Murdering yourself is a terrible sin against God.
Now the only reason you go to hell is if you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Sin is sin and we are all sinners. But a Born Again Christian has accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. In order to get saved and Born Again you must be willing to admit to Jesus that you are a sinner in need of a Saviour and you must be willing to confess to him all your sins. You also must believe he arose from the grave on the third day and washed away your sins. If you believe this and would like to know how to be Born Again just Pray this simple Prayer and a new life with Christ can begin right now, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

I don't know whether a person can go to hell for commiting suicide, but it should not be done.

Ease the burden? All major Gods I know about don't accept suicide. Your best bet is to convert to "I'mAWimp-ism" or some other religion where that god encourages death. Oh and you better hope that god is a real god or else you are screwed.

Committing suicide is a sin in Islam. Poor suicide bombers in the name of land or Islam are also no different.
