I looked into various religions and never found that to be the case. I think that the Roman Catholics come close, but I am not one of those. Plus, they don't say to abstain from sex to those who are married and infertile. So it doesn't really count in that light.
For those who think that Christianity says that, it doesn't, and my text is this:
1 Corinthians 7
4 The wife's body does not belong to her alone but also to her husband. In the same way, the husband's body does not belong to him alone but also to his wife. 5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 6 I say this as a concession, not as a command.

Why would a person follow such a religion? Because they've got the fear of God in them. As far as I know religious texts do not address how to deal with mouths you can't afford to feed or being too immature to care for a child.

Religion was created in the first place to regulate sexual behavior (through marriage).
In the earliest days of humankind, groups that regulated sexual behavior were more likely to survive than groups that did not.
Somehow this church policy of regulating sexual behavior has survived into the 21st century, long past the days when fledgling tribes of humans were struggling to find ways to survive.
As it stands now, there can be no sex whatsoever that is not sanctioned by the church (through marriage).
Once people take control of their own sexual behavior (through education, birth control and abortion) then the church becomes completely irrelevant.

it's not wrong to wrap it or whatever form of birth control you decide to use....
a religion that says you can only have sex to make babies only says that so they can build the population of that religion and no other reason

This morning on my local newscast, they were showing outrage that the places here are starting to persuade kids to use birth control methods (i.e. making the pill easily available). Parents are outraged, calling the schools irresponsible for providing the information. I'm sure they had a Biblical reason for why it was so irresponsible.
To think teenagers are going to be abstinent is irresponsible, in my opinion.

Because when sex will not be meant for procreation and just for enjoyment, it will encourage sexual perversions and prostitution and boost the market of sex toys and dildos. Capitalists exploit every human weakness to fill their coffers!

I wouldn't! But I've often wondered how- and why- sex was twisted into something evil by early xtians. Best guess- Paul was gay.
