I would suggest that all of these fear mongers that write in this global warming section do some real investigation into what is going on here. The documentary "The Great Global Warming Swindle" would be a start and if you don't have the time to watch that you could always read this article by one of the top professors in Climatology in the world.

Interesting idea, but not too practical. CO2 and other pollutants come from every car tailpipe, the windows of every home, and the smokestacks of every factory. Unless you put a bubble over the city, most of the sir will never pass through your filter.

Your idea, very poorly worded and totally misunderstood, is basically what the organization in the source is trying to do. They are looking for ways to remove carbon dioxide from the air and store it where it can't get back into the air.
