I didn't invite my uncle because he and I hardly see each other and talk. I'm having a destination wedding and I didn't think he'd be able to go. So I sent him an announcement instead and other members of my family that I don't really keep in touch with. He wasn't upset because he wouldn't have gone anyways...

it depends on how close you are to your uncle and how many people you want to invite. Be cautious to invite one uncle and not the other or other family members that might take offense to finding out they werent invited when others were...Always take peoples feelings in consideration, but remember, a lot of people wont make it too..

it depends on the relationship that you have with your uncle, remember that you will have to live the rest of your life with a possible grudge being held against you because you did not invite him. but if you have a bad relationship with your uncle, then do not ruin your day by thinking why did I invite him in the first place?

I come from a very close, tight-knit family. There would be no reason for me to NOT invite any of my uncles to my wedding. I would definitely think any of my uncles would be very upset if I were to exclude them from such a wonderful event.

Depends on the Uncle, if you are inviting the family you should include him.

Depends on how close you are with him, but generally it's the guys who aren't that "into" weddings. The trick I used was to have our wedding in the islands - we invited everyone, but made them pay their own way. Only those who truly wanted to be there showed up, and those who didn't make it were'nt upset with us because they knew it was up to them to make it. Regardless, they all got a copy of the video with their thank-you cards, so it was like they were there anyway....no hard feelings, and no one got hurt....problem solved.

Depends, why wouldn't you invite him? My uncle wouldn't care, his wife on the other hand.... lol But what man really likes weddings unless they are the groom, it's like helping someone move, your friends with them so you have to act like you want to do it. lol Just kidding.

Did I invite my other aunts and uncles? If so, then I think he would be hurt. If not, then he wouldn't care.
