Your diet is what you consume. When people say "I'm dieting" it means they are making a conscious effort to track/control what they eat, which is what we should ALL do. If you lose track of what's going in your mouth, it can set you up for bad consequences.

diet is kjust the food you eat, it doesnt nesacarily mean diet in the general conext of which we now use it, you dont have to be cutting down to have a diet becuase it is just what you eat on a regular basis
