My husband and his friend made reservations to go camping. The camp site is four hours away from where we live. It is supposed to rain really hard tomorrow night. So they want to leave Saturday morning and come home Sunday. I think it is stupid to drive four hours, unpack all the camping equipment, stay one night and then pack everything up and come home the very next day.

What do you think?

Pack light and go. Some of my most memorable camping experiences were one nighters.

I love to go camping. In fact I went several times this summer.
That being said , I would not go . 4 hours away ,Then unpack everything ,Then by the time you get everything around it will be time to cook .ect. I say no.
I would only drive 4 hours to go camping if I had a good 3 to 4 days or more.

Maybe it's a guy thing...I do this all the time. Drive 5 hours to a site, stay overnight, climb something the next day, and then drive all the way home.

I like to camp myself, I would not drive 4 hours to spend 1 night..... I agree with you.... now if it was to spend 2 quality days of warm sunshine and fishing, rafting, hunting ect.... it would be worth it, but not 1 night of rain.....

I think for your relationships sake you should just go along with it. It will be a story to tell if it turns out good or bad. Boys do stupid things sometimes and every time I went along with it I ended up having fun! Good Luck!
