I don't think God shows a prophet EVERYTHING...only what He wants him or her to know.
We can tell a true prophet by a false one by these tests:
1. What they speak will never contradict Scripture.
2. They are never popular.
3. They always turn the attention of the people to the Word of God, not to themselves.
4. Prophets don't ask to be prophets.
5. The things that they predict actually come to pass.

These tests pretty much rule out Nostradamus and Joseph Smith, but include Ellen White.

God doesn't show anybody everything. That would take away the need for faith. He would never do that because God works in our lives through our faith. I think that was more of a joke, or at least I hope it was. Although there are many people that God entrusts with the gift of prophecy, we must still allow God to lead us and guide us through all things. We have to realize that we all endure trials and tribulations in our lives and we must learn to trust God to make it through. We endure these trials often because God trusts you to make it through successfully and be a witness to others in order to help them through as well. When we ask God to use us to do His will, we don't have the option of choosing what method we are used or what comfort level we should experience. We can't complain when God allows us to go through some really tough times so that we can have the necessary experience to help someone else.

As a strong saved, sanctified Chridtian, I would have to say that Juanita Bynum didn't see it coming because she was too busy coming up with justifications for the contradictions in the bible.

Prophecy is often misused and misunderstood. Many use it for their own personal gain. There are many criterion which must be adhered to when someone has a true prophecy. It then needs to be authenticated by either the Bishop and/or the pope. Prophecy cannot contradict the teachings of the Church or Sacred Scripture.

I don't believe Bynum is a prophet nor do I believe there are any true prophets on TV. True prophets are out in the streets and in the slums - proclaiming the truth of God. They are not on TV with fancy clothing and fine jewelry or driving fancy automobiles & sleeping in fancy hotel rooms.

I dont think that she is 'false' just because she didnt 'see this coming.'

As someone who used to watch her avidly...when she decided to split from her husband (after all those marital conferences to teach people to stay together) and endless sermons about trusting God through everything the devil throws at you...for her to give up and divorce AND start saying 'she was born to be a billionaire' and 'preaching was just my process...I was born to be a nationally reknown talk show host'..."Im the new face of DV"....I just cant believe her anymore.
