for anything according to the fundies. And how come the Apostles didn't just lock themselves up within the upper room and pray for the people?---I mean they actually went out and did the no account works---shame on them.

I'm not a fundamentalist, but some of them believe more strongly in the supernatural side of faith than catholics I have met (who tend to follow the approved line of the church leadership). The christians missionaries I am aware of performing great signs and wonders and even raising the dead (yes, really) by Jesus' name are protestants and pentecostals - a few of them being ex-catholics.

You're right. If works are as verboten as some fundamentalists say, Jesus wouldn't have performed any, or given the disciples the command to go out and love the world.

Midge...honestly...the stuff you say.... "Miracles dont account for anything according to the fundies.." WHERE did you pull that from?

they didn't count because there are no maricles only things that people could not explain at the time
