It is possible for a normally not gay person to become gay because of external influences such as single-sex schools, being in prison, joining the military, or being away from women but around men for long periods of time in general. I've never heard of a latent homosexual becoming straight again though.

Leviticus also says that you should burn bulls for sacrifice, that a man should not have contact with a woman during her period, that you should have slaves, shellfish is an abomination, that you cannot plant two different crops in the same field, that you must stone people who are blasphemous, and that wearing two different types of fabrics at the same time is an abomination.
Are you getting the point? If your going to quote anti homosexual phrases from leviticus then where do you get off not following the rest?

OMG, the complete and utter obsession some Christians have with gays sometimes. It just gets to the point of being silly!!!
Dare I say it, how sure are they about their own sexuality?!

Bill-
The short answer is because Jesus died on the cross not only to save us from our sins, but to destroy the old covenant between man and the bible, which at that time was the Torah, or the Old Testament.
Prior to God giving his only son to us for our salvation we had the bible to answer our questions. The covenant between man and God was through the bible. The only interaction that God had with us was through the bible. When he sent Jesus down to earth for our salvation it erased the covenant between man and the bible and the covenant with God was changed to a covenant with God through his earthly form - his son J.C.
Because Jesus came down to erase our sins, it negated the old rules. This is the reason why Christians are not Kosher, etc. As the rules for keeping Kosher are part of the old covenant which Orthodox Jews and Reformed Jews still keep, in varying levels. The more orthodox a Jew is, the more rules from the old testament they will adhere to.

we all have our battles to fight. it is those of us that fight against the unclean spirit that will go home.
those that give into the unclean spirit and love it and live it are the ones in trouble.
so I would have to say that a practicing homosexual should not be a speaker in Gods house as they are loving the unclean spirit and not God.
God knows our hearts therefor He knows who and what we love

Some chose to pick what they want to believe. Jesus taught that in the last days many false teachers would come, and that you should be careful not too fall for their lies. that is what is happening in these cases.

Be and let be. You should not judge the life style of others.
The Bible or the Old Testament or the Q'ran or what ever holly books you are referring to are man-made to accommodate men supremacy and power over mankind specifically women. Is it not in one of these holy books that Jesus forgave Mary-Magdalene for her sins, what ever sins she had committed. Homosexuality has existed since the beginning of time and it is also found in the Animal kingdom. So I guess it is part of natural phenomenon. .
I think that sexuality, what ever it is, is a private matter between two consented adults and what happens in a bedroom is not for us to judge.

Some books of the bible also say to stone adulterous women, be kind to your slaves and have many wives.
Many stories advocate dismembering someone who has commited "heresy" and spreading his entrails in the sand.
Others encourage killing your wife if she is not submissive to you.
Which of these would you like to see enforced.
The bible is NOT a guide for living...it is simply a book.

maybe because It's not a sin, and the bible has been changed numerous times in the past to fit religious hypocrisy and religious leaders individual opinions rather than what the bible really says. besides, people are born that way, and that all fits into God's plan(straight or gay), even though alot of religious ppl are too close-minded to think about it.

Because they are "loving their brother as themselves," Because they are being "understanding"/
They are Being non-judge mental
They are being forgiving
In other words they are acting as Jesus would want them to act, with compassion and love for another human being.
Good for them, If you believe they are "committing a sin" then don't go to that church. Please do not sit in judgment!
Love is the prominent word here, all Jesus teachings were built on LOVE>.
