Good question! I am curious to see if there are other beliefs besides the evolution theory.

Chaos, entropy.
The only reason humans look at our surroundings as though there must be some intelligent design behind it, is because some of us our cursed with a need to understand. Beings from another place in the universe might look at our world as anything BUT miraculous. That's just how we see it, and we have an ingrained need to believe that something or someone had a purpose in creating it. So, for the same reason the Greeks created mythology - to explain what doesn't need an explanation, people invented religion.
Nobody created us or our world. To think anything else is to live in a fantasy.
Sorry, Christians. I'll take the thumbs down with a smile. =)

I don't think anyone made us. No Gods, no superstitions.
There is no definitive answer. However, evolution is a fact, the mechanism is still theory. Just because a person is a nonbeliever does not mean they know how we came about. I find it fascinating that believers think this. Many Atheist constantly question & that might explain the reason we are Atheists. When you ask, you learn. Again, I believe evolution as of right now, but as science & theories change so do my views. Why must ppl be so definitive? We weren't born with all the answers, but we are slowly gaining knowledge. You must go with logic, evidence, etc.

There's tons of evidence that clearly shows that people evolved from simpler life forms on this planet through the process of natural selection. Enough evidence to conclude logically and reasonably that it happened that way.
On the other hand, there's no evidence of any kind that any god had anything to do with making people. In fact, the evidence very clearly shows that the creation stories in the bible are completely false.
So it's really pretty simple: lots of evidence for the natural evolution of people, no evidence for a creation by a god, and lots of evidence showing the bible story to be false. Why is there any question, then, about how people got here? It's abundantly clear :)
Peace.

Why ask where we came from and who created us? It's enough for me to know that we are here. I don't believe in god, nor do I believe in evolution. I don't know where we come from and I don't really care. I have enough on my mind by taking care of my three children to worry about something that we will never know the answer to.

Why do you assume somebody had to make people? You are setting up the question for a religious answer. Assuming your question stands, may I ask how you determined whether the creator was the Christian God, Allah, or Zeus?

So, if someone doesnt have an answer, this proves that god did? Or does it prove that nobody knows?
WHOOOPSIE. Too much of a philosophical thought there, huh?

other people, who came from other less evolved people, who came from even less evolved people, who came from some less evolved apelike ancestors, who came a couple hundred million generations after single-celled organisms, who occurred by the right chemicals being present at the right time in the right place.

It's like me asking you who made God - your response would probably be "well that's not a valid question, because there wasn't a 'who' at all". Same goes for your question.

No one. We dont think that just because something exists than it needed to be created by some entity.
