I agree. It is not easy bucking the tide, particularly here in the religion-drenched United States, but it is satisfying, and it keeps me in touch with the wonder of the natural world and the incredible value of life. My own life is far richer for having put truth ahead of religious tradition.

Winsome wisdom. Believing what is factual in the secular sense brings no lasting peace. And how do you believe a fantasy when you know it's a fantasy?

Hi. Yes I agree with your way of thinking. In fact I cannot comfort myself with anything if I don't truly believe it.

Are you in a minority? Probably yes, as a lot of people need comfort in things which are unproven. Religion is the best example of this. It's just how most people think I guess.

Nope I can say I do not agree with this statement. I know I do not believe in a fantasy. Your ideas of facts are the same as what you say about me- theories and suppositions. Usually, being searched for with an answer already inplace, thus destroying ANY credibility that researcher might have had with me.

The only place that fantasy as a way of life is not wrong is in a small child.

The truth will always catch up with you and you cant be prepared if you don't see if coming.

Sounds about right, but I find more peace in facts that fantasy.

I value the truth more than fantasy any day.

If you "believe" it then it's fact to you. The question is, do you want peace or not.
